Month in Review: November 2008

November 2008 was big: we concluded our 2008 Election for Fake President; we began a big project to revamp the visual design of the blog; and we broke 1000 hits, causing Alex to lose his bet that we wouldn't and thus dooming him to finally, finally watch Star Wars.

And, of course, we posted a lot:

- A discussion of several books, including House of Mystery, Dear Dracula, The Spirit, and Hellboy: The Crooked Man

- A recap of our 2008 Election for Fake President, and ridiculous coverage of the results

- An important clarification about the 2008 Election for Real President

- A review of Jurassic Park in memory of author Michael Crichton

- More discussion about Diamond Comics Distributors plus other random thoughts

- Recognition of our blog's hit total breaking 1000

- A review of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman and a recommendation to read Prince of Stories: The Many Worlds of Neil Gaiman

- Alex's explanation about how he is The Worst Fanboy in the World

- An overview of the Star Wars franchise and how anybody can find something to like there

- An important rant from Alex, entitled "I Don't Like Space"

- A review of Quantum of Solace, the second entry in the James Bond franchise after the reboot with Casino Royale

- A discussion about the comics industry in times of recession

- A brief discussion about internal trouble at DC Comics with Dan DiDio and Grant Morrison and James Robinson

- The trailer for the 2009 Star Trek movie

- Talk about the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and a big eBay auction

- The decision on which version of Star Wars Alex should watch

- An introduction to Weebl and Bob, a series of ridiculous Flash animations

- An introduction to Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures, with lots of pictures
