Any Ideas?

Do you know what we were doing two years ago today? Celebrating 1000 hits. Making grand plans of new banners and forcing Alex to watch Star Wars for the first time.

Do you know what we were doing this time last year? Getting ready to watch a few films by Akira Kurosawa, which is what our readers decided we should do after a big poll we started to celebrate 10,000 hits.

What are we doing this year? Celebrating 40,000 hits by looking back on our past successes to disguise the fact that we haven't done anything together for a long time.

To celebrate 15,000 hits, I exposed Alex to Firefly and Serenity, which he actually liked. The project started in February, ran until July, and was effectively the last thing we did together solely for the sake of the blog. We've collaborated on posts and coordinated posting themes, but Firefly was the last thing we did outside of the blog because of the blog.

Maybe we've been focused more on our other side projects. Maybe we've overextended ourselves with work and other commitments. Maybe Joss Whedon broke our hearts and caused us to swear off fun forever. Whatever the case, it's time for a project. A joint project. Something solely for the sake of the blog.

Any ideas?

A steady posting of interesting articles would draw me back as a regular reader, honestly. It seems like you two are busy with other projects to really do a large project on exfanding. You guys have recently hit a dry area where the majority of posts seemed to be "I'm tired," link posts, or posts that just reference other projects on other sites. That's all well and good, but that's not the kind of stuff that initially drew me to Exfanding... so if I were to suggest a "project," it would be a return to your roots and talking about the things you love.
